RECYCLING

Piece Of Jeans on mukana mahdollistamassa poistotekstiilien erilliskeräyksen kuluttajille. Piece Of Jeans tekee yhteistyötä Lounais-Suomen jätehuollon sekä muiden kuntien jätehuoltoyhtiöiden kanssa valmistaakseen kuluttajien poistotekstiileistä KaMu-keräysastioiden farkkuhuput. Paimion jalostuslaitos avasi ovensa 2.11.2021.

People are beginning to think more and more about the environmental impact of clothing, food production and travel, and that is a good thing. But if you study ecological fashion at the level of concept, then what does that ecological fashion really mean?

The internet is full of texts and discussions on whether it is more ecological to choose a canvas bag, a durable bag, a paper bag or perhaps a plastic bag. However, in most cases, a plastic bag made of recycled materials and a cloth bag made of recycled materials are compared. Or the benchmark is durable bags made of recycled polypropylene plastic, which appear to have a strong surface feel, but are in reality plastic. It goes without saying that the use of recycled material is a less environmentally friendly choice than recycled.
