HOW TO MEASURE THE PELVIC CIRCUMFERENCE CORRECTLY? WHERE SHOULD THE WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE BE MEASURED?

When buying clothes, especially when buying online, it is essential to know the most important dimensions for measuring your body. When buying jeans, trousers, skirts and other lower body clothing, you're sure to come across the words "hip circumference" and "waist circumference." However, the biggest problem when choosing the right size online is that I was sure I measured my body correctly and exactly the right place...?

HOW DO I MEASURE MY BODY? WHAT IS ACTUALLY THE CIRCUMFERENCE OF THE PELVIS AND IS THE WAIST THE CIRCUMFERENCE OF THE ABDOMEN?

Hips and waist are really similar words, so it's hard to confuse them, even the exact opposite. For some, hip and waist dimensions mean body dimensions measured at almost the same point, which can be a disaster for buying trousers. If you choose the wrong size for yourself, based on your dimensions too small, you won't have to wear a lovely pair of jeans bought online and long-awaited when you arrive home and the customer has to return them... usually for a fee. Ordering a larger size even in this situation is a lottery game, because the customer cannot take the right dimensions. Another option is that size tables and measurement instructions only confuse the customer's head further, and he does not even decide to try to buy trousers, but gives up already at the time of purchase.

However, you should try to invest in measuring fit clothes properly. The better you measure, and the closer you get to the right measuring point, the more fit your pants will get. It is not advisable to skate or measure various "looseness dimensions" from the measurement. It is also not supposed to take dimensions, for example, with jeans on. Body dimensions are supposed to be taken from the body with underwear on, without any looseness funds. See also our blog post on "How do I measure my body correctly?"

WHERE IS THE PELVIC CIRCUMFERENCE OF WOMEN MEASURED? HOW DO I MEASURE WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE?

1. WHAT IS IMPORTANT FOR MEASURING A WOMAN'S PELVIC CIRCUMFERENCE?

Pelvic area refers to the widest length of the lower body, including buttocks and buttocks. The widest circumference of the pelvis is required for the garment to be fitted or ordered as a measuring order to rise all the way up to your body. Sliaking the body, a few centimetres, can cause significant fit problems, such as the fact that jeans do not rise from the crotch seam up. When the dimensions have been taken correctly, the garment can also work correctly and feel comfortable on the leg.

The technical functionality of the jeans and the dimensions of the hips of different sizes can be achieved thanks to the waistband, shape discs, zipper and button. When the zipper and button are inserted, keep the widest part of the hips in the correct position in the trousers, then close the zipper and button, which tightens the waist to the correct tension. The right tightness of the waist best ensures that the jeans stay on.

2. MEASURING A WOMAN'S WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE CORRECTLY AND FROM THE CORRECT

POSITION "IS THE WAIST THE NARROWEST POINT OF THE BODY?"

When buying jeans, the waistband is the part where, as its name suggests, the waistband of jeans rises. The model of jeans affects the height of its waistband, has high- and low-waisted jeans, so when measuring waist circumference, it is especially important to check waist height. The waist height can be indicated indiscriminately, for example at the "navel points", but the most accurate measure of the waistband height is obtained if its height is indicated from the crotch seam upwards. The belly button is in people at different heights. Waist height from the crotch seam should also be indicated separately from the front and back, as naturally the "hook" of the crotch seam should be longer at the back.

See the figure below to see how the waist height of jeans should be determined. The vague words "high-waisted jeans" do not guarantee the buyer anything yet about waist height. Based on the Branch Seam Height scale, you can measure exactly how high the waist of jeans, e.g. in M size, rises on your body. Then measure the waist width from this height and check if the measure hits the sample dimensions of the size chart.

Measuring a woman's waist is therefore nothing like the indiscriminately stated 'circumference of the abdomen'. Measuring the waist circumference is one of the most difficult, but at the same time, one of the most important dimensions when buying trousers.

WIDE HIPS AND NARROW WAIST? IS IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU TO FIND JEANS BECAUSE YOU HAVE SUCH A SLENDER WAIST RELATIVE TO A WIDE PELVIC CIRCUMFERENCE?

A familiar feeling? It is usually really impossible to find jeans of suitable size for narrow waists. Usually, when the jeans sit from the hips, the waist is too big without helping. We added a waist-cinched rubber band to the jeans, which allows the jeans to fit several different body types, including narrow-waisted ones.
