WHY DID I MOVE THE PRODUCTION TO POLAND? HOW DO SUSTAINABILITY AND ETHICAL FACTORS BE REFLECTED IN PRODUCTION?
The picture is from the summer of 2019, when I visited Poland, met seamspers and a Finnish man running a sewing plant. Production methods were tested and it was considered that the operations were in line with sustainability and ethical factors.
HOW AND HOW ARE SUSTAINABILITY FACTORS BUILT?
Before contacting Poland, I had one Finnish female seamser who subcontracted jeans for me.

SITUATION 6 MONTHS EARLIER
I received a contact from a Finnish man. The man told me he saw advertising for my brand, and decided to send me a message. In the message, the man said that he owns a sewing shop that subcontracts to many Finnish companies that are currently operating. I diagnosed his message because at the time I had a seamser.
In the summer of 2019, when I encountered the termination of this subcontractor, I was reminded of a message lying in an email from a Finnish man with a sewing plant in Poland. Did you know that Poland is a country at the heart of central Europe's textile industry?
The unique, precious and truly artful world of textile industry and crafts was opening its doors to a then small brand called Piece Of Jeans, which felt and still feels like a wildly great and good choice!
HOW DID I FIND OUT THE PRODUCTION CONDITIONS IN POLAND? HOW DID I GET ASSURANCES ABOUT THE ETHICAL AND RESPONSIBLE OPERATION OF THE SEWING SHOP?
Then we booked flights and a hotel!
The expedition was about to begin. I wonder what it looks like, what the conditions of the warping, the people and the working atmosphere are, what do you think the seamsmakers are paid...
With safe and confidence, I went on a trip, but things had already been discussed a lot in advance. In addition, a Finnish man of origin takes care of working conditions and healthiness at the sewing plant. You don't always have to assume that things are bad - things can also surprise you positively!
It was the same summer, summer 2019. The temperature outside was about +34°.

I was happy to receive. "If you compare the average salary usually paid to seamspers here, these seamspers do make good money and have been very satisfied with their work. Comfortable, varied and comfortable tasks," says the Finnish man who runs the sewing plant.
And these, if any, I thought were nice to hear. The warm atmosphere was there when visiting. We've become a really good team together, and we're sending a message almost every day. Even in the summer, I would have liked women to say hello, but this summer holiday now went around Finland because of the coronavirus...

responsibility The fulfilment of social responsibility is usually one of the most discussed topics. This aspect of social responsibility includes occupational health, education, comfort at work, well-being at work, employment relationships, occupational safety and good practice.
Responsibility is taken for granted in Finland and it is not thought that responsible and ethical activities can also be carried out in Poland, for example. For us in Finland, for us Finns, these are taken for granted. Thus, the Finnish man who runs the business in Poland has taken these obvious things forward. Quite often I wake myself up thinking about how good things really are.
With this trip, I've learned to deal with my prejudices better. Of course I was insecure at first, but the trip changed everything. "It is not worth drawing conclusions too soon, and only on the basis of one's own thoughts."
