OP MEDIA: DESIGN RIGHT, I.E. DESIGN PROTECTION, PROTECTS THE APPEARANCE OF THE PRODUCT

Taru Tammikallio, editor of OP-media magazine, called me at the eco-bone in 2020 and told me about his intention to write an article about model protection in the magazine. Taru had come across me and my brand when he was asking for the Internet and wanted to interview me for his article.

What kind of model protection? Who and how can I apply for it? What does it take to register a design protection and what does it entitle you to?

Piece Of Jeans got its name from the fabric, and the title game started with protecting it. A piece of "piece" denim "jeans". I protected my fabric at the Finnish Patent and Registration Office even before the business start-up idea. I think it was 2016 or 2017. In August 2019, I extended my model protection to a Europe-wide shelter. This year I registered a trademark from Piece Of Jeans, and that's what the ® logo on the top side of the website means.
